Looking for a meaningful way to give back?
At Rowell Ranch Farm Sanctuary, volunteers help care for rescued farm animals, support our Pet Food Assistance Program, and make a lasting impact in our community. Whether you can give one hour a week or help with a special event, we'd love to have you on the Ranch!

Regular Volunteer Days
Tuesdays • Thursdays • Saturdays
⏰ 6:30 AM or 8:00 AM (depending on the season)
🕒 Approximately 1 hour
We also offer seasonal projects, special events,
and other volunteer opportunities throughout the year.
Who Can Volunteer?
Everyone is welcome!
✔ All ages and abilities
✔ No farm experience necessary
✔ Volunteers under 18 must attend with a parent or
guardian until approved to volunteer independently.
Need accommodations? Let us know when you register, we're happy to work with volunteers of varying abilities whenever possible.
Getting Started
Step 1
Attend a 30-minute Volunteer Orientation.
Orientation includes:

Learn about our mission

Review safety procedures

Tour the Ranch

Complete your first volunteer task with an experienced volunteer
A $10 orientation fee helps cover training materials
and ensures orientation spots are reserved for
individuals who are serious about volunteering.

Step 2
After completing orientation, you'll receive access to our
private volunteer SignUpGenius where you can sign up
for volunteer opportunities that fit your schedule.
Volunteer opportunities are available only after orientation has been completed.
After You Volunteer
One of our volunteers' favorite traditions is spending a little extra time with the animals after their shift.
Feel free to bring treats!
Some favorites include:

Please check with a volunteer leader before feeding any treats.
Quick Questions

Do I need farm experience? No! We'll teach you everything you need to know.

What should I wear? Closed-toe shoes and clothes you don't mind getting dirty. We also recommend bringing a water bottle, sunscreen, a hat, and a dust mask if you have allergies.

Can I receive school or community service hours? Absolutely! Just bring your paperwork with you.

Can't make your shift? Simply cancel through SignUpGenius. If it's the day of your shift, please send us a quick email as well.
